Secret of Iceland ehf. reserves the right to cancel purchases because of, but not limited to, wrongful information about pricing or because changes in service provided. Secret of Iceland ehf. reserves the right to confirm bookings by phone and/or email.
Products can either be picked up or shipped for free. The product can be shipped for free to the customer, to a given address in the checkout process. The shipment is done by a third party postal service. All orders are processed the next working day and delivered to the Icelandic post office. If the product is not available or on stock, a service representative will be in contact with you and announce an estimated delivery time. All orders are delivered with the Icelandic post office (Íslandspóstur ohf.) and their delivery, transportation and insurance terms apply to the delivery. Secret of Iceland ehf. is thereby not responsible for damage during delivery. The buyer is responsible for damage during transportation from the Icelandic post office (Íslandspóstur ohf.) to the buyer.
All prices on the webpage and in the booking system are displayed in Icelandic Krona (ISK) and includes 24% VAT. The price and the VAT is broken down and displayed with the total amount in the checkout process. The VAT is subtracted from foreign purchases, but then the purchaser is liable for all import duties, customs and taxes levied by his or her country. Shipping is free.
Payments are accepted with Visa and MasterCards by a secure payment gateway from Korta.
The buyer has 14 days to cancel a purchase, as long as he has not used the product and the product is returned in unopened packages and in good order. If the product was in sealed packages, the seal must not be broken. The cancellation period starts when the product has been delivered to the receiver. The invoice for the product has to be included in the return. Refund is made in full if the above conditions are met and after the product has been returned. The cost of all delivery charges, estimated 1.360 ISK for deliveries within Iceland, 1.940 ISK within Europe, and 2.990 for deliveries outside of Europe, are not refunded. The seller will provide third party delivery company the necessary information to deliver the product to the rightful purchaser. Otherwise, the seller promises full confidentiality for all information that the buyer gives in relations with the transactions. Under no condition, will the information be given or sold to a third party unless a court order will state so.
These terms and condition are based on Icelandic laws, especially law number 50/2000. All conflict regarding these terms and conditions shall be solved by district court of Reykjavík, Iceland (Héraðsdómur Reykjavíkur).
